About us

“Go as far as you can see; when you get there you’ll be able to see further”

Thomas Carlyle

In the autumn of 2014 we started our first Camino adventure. Our intention was to walk from St Jean Pied de Port in France to Santiago in North-West Spain.  We had hoped to complete the whole 500 miles (800 Km) route in one session, but that was not to be.  We did walk more than half way before we had to call a halt for medical reasons.  We returned the following Spring and restarted exactly where we finished previously and then successfully walked the whole of the remaining Camino route.  You can, if you wish, read my blog of both parts of that route in my Camino Frances blog

Having now been completely infected with the Camino bug we are now planning to walk another Camino  to Santiago de Compostela.  This one will be partly through Spain, but mainly through Portugal, hence the name “Camino Portuguese”.

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
